A Classic Dutch painting of a collection of houses in the town of Blaricum, The Netherlands by the artist Henri Van Os-Delhez. The A woman dressed in traditional clothes and white cap hangs clothes up to dry. Van Os-Delhez was a natural talent at an early age, becoming an active painter at the age of 15. He received his art education in Amsterdam and was a pupil of the great Dutch master Arnold Marc Gorter. Later he became a member of the art associations of Sint Lucas and Arti et Amicitiae in Amsterdam. Eventually, he settled in the town of Blaricum, a short distance away from the Dutch capital, but he was fond of the city of Paris where he frequently visited. Well listed in many reference books, including Scheen, Saur, Jacobs etc. Framed in a fantastic gold and black frame and signed lower right. Signed and annotated verso, dimensions are 31 1/8 inches tall by 27 wide. Image dimensions are 23 1/8 inches by 19 inches.

Fine quality painting by the important 19th century artist from Belguim. Leon Herbo is well represented in museums around the world including the United States. Born in 1850, Herbo studied at the Academies of Tournai (at L. Legendre) and Brussels (1869-1874). He specialized in genre scenes and portraits, but also painted numerous orientalist and biblical scenes. In 1889 he painted in collaboration with the painter Alexandre Clarys monumental canvas "Meeting between the Maria Hendrika Squadron, Queen Maria Hendrika and Princess Clementina", which resides in the Military Museum in Brussels, Belgium. Herbo was co-founder of the artists' association "L'Essor" in Brussels (founded in 1876), along with the artists Louis Cambier, Henri Permeke, Louis Pion and Franz Seghers. He died in 1907. Signed and dated upper right. Dimensions are 28 3/4 inches tall by 23 inches wide. Framed dimensions are 33 1/2 inches by 27 3/4 inches.

Crisp, bright sunlight illuminates this quiet alley of a Provincial European village as long dark shadows give some relief from the heat in this wonderful painting by Fernand Vetcour. A simple church rises into a cloudless sky and lush green trees soak up the sun's rays. Fernand Vetcour was a Belgian painter born in 1908 in the town of Liege. There he studied at the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts, where he later became a professor. Works in museums in Doornik, Brussels, Ghent, Liege and Verviers. He died in 2001. Signed lower right with title verso. Framed in a vintage period dimensions are 24 inches tall by 27 1/2 inches wide. Canvas image is 17 3/4 tall by 21 1/2 wide.

Mirror-like water reflects the hazy early morning sky while water reeds bend slightly to an unseen breeze. The last of summer's white wildflowers dot the mossy landscape, while off in the distance one can see a small sleepy Dutch village. This wonderful work of art was painted by listed artist Abraham Frederik (Frits) Hubeek (1884-1952). Hubeek was born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands in 1884 where he received his art education under the guidance of Georg Rueter and Jan Visser. He later became a member of the art associationa De Onafhankelijke (The Independents) and Sint Lucas. Reference: Scheen 1969-1970 , vol. 1, p. 522 (as: Hubeek, Abraham Frederik ('Frits');*). Painted oil on canvas, signed lower right and framed in a period gilt frame. Measurements: 18 inches tall by 23 inches wide (framed), 13 inches tall by 18 inches wide (image).

Chickens peck at the ground on a muddy dirt road in this moody tonal painting by Nikolai Modorov (1928-1989). Dark grey clouds float over the reddish roofs while small patches of snow remain in corners where the spring sun has yet to warm. Modorov was born in Msytora, a town famous for its icon painters. His uncle was the famous artist Fyodor Modorov, and must have been a great influence in young Nikolai's life. After graduating from Leningrad’s Vera Mukhina Higher School of Art and Industry, Modorov established himself as a painter of small towns and villages around Mystora and Vladimir. Represented in the Museum of Russian Impressionism in Moscow. Annotated verso, framed dimensions are 33 inches 25 1/2 inches. Viewable image is 19 3/8 inches by 27 inches.

A farm girl carries a pair of buckets on a sunny fall morning in this magnificent oil on canvas painting by artist Evert Moll. Cows can bee seen in the distance grazing on lush green grass, an idyllic Dutch or Flemish country scene. Evert Moll was born in the town Voorburg, near The Hague in 1878. He lived and worked there until 1930 but also painted in London, Paris, Rotterdam during this time. After 1930 he relocated to a studio in The Hague, where he remained until his death in 1955. A member of the acclaimed Pulchri Studio, he was a self-taught painter but was friends with and influenced by Willem Maris. Signed lower left and framed in a contemporary frame, overall dimensions are 38 1/4 inches tall by 43 5/8 inches wide. Image size is 30 inches by 35 1/2.

Workers busy themselves leading massive work horses towards the docked boats in this magnificent work by accomplished artist and historian Professor Johannes Hendrikus Jurres. Jurres was not only an accomplished artist and art teacher, but also had a great fondness for history, which he often painted in great detail. Born in 1875, he graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Amsterdam. Eventually he would return there, but this time as a teacher. He was chairman of 'Arti et Amicitiae', an Amsterdam based art society. Made a number of study trips throughout Europe, and a number of his works are represented in Museums in The Netherlands. Listed in many art reference guides, including Scheen and Witt Checklist. Signed lower left and framed in a beautiful burl frame, overall dimensions are 35 1/2 inches tall by 46 1/2 inches wide. Canvas image is 30 inches by 41 inches.

A stunning collection of fruit masterfully painted by Dutch artist Jurgen 'George' Pletser. Bright red tomatoes, luscious green grapes, and yellow squash come together to create a true feast for the eyes. Jurgen Pletser was born in Rotterdam, The Netherlands in 1871, and later studied and graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts there.
